The Amsel Fly was originally created on the Umba River in Russia’s Kola Peninsula. The original version was tied as a Zonker but having achieved great success it made the transition to all the alternate variations. Especially effective during the autumn season and anywhere the water runs with a peaty / tea tinge. Particularly suited to both Scottish Salmon rivers as well as Russia’s Kola Peninsula.
We offer the highest quality flies, dressed on the best hooks and with the best materials on the market. So let us share with you our professional experience of fly dressing.
In order to achieve a high level of excellence in fly dressing, it’s not enough to carefully “dress” hooks in rainbow materials. It requires patience, persistence, and entomological and ichthyologic knowledge. It is very important to focus on fly dressing techniques with which it is possible to catch fish under different conditions with an elegant and easily dressed fly.
Also, we offer a personalized tying service, and no job or request is too small.
All CTF flies are approved by Tay river salmon. Quality Every Cast For The Discerning Angler
